Too many children have suffered and died sooner because of their parents smoking.
ALL children are vulnerable - cot death and cancer
rates are higher when parents smoke and 1 in 4 Australian children have asthma.
Some children have instant attacks, others can have delayed attacks - up to six hours
after the exposure!
Some wheeze, some are silent. Mucous production increases and air flow restricted.
Smoking around children is tantamount to child abuse.
We must not condone this behaviour under any circustance and we need to actively
encourage positive improvements in this area.
Children need to have their right to breath cleaner air upheld. Will you help?
